Green-e Climate was developed through an extensive stakeholder process that followed the principles established by the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labeling Alliance of which Green-e Climate is an associate member. These principles have been established to ensure that all voices are heard and that all substantive issues raised during a standard setting process are addressed.
The Green-e Climate Standard and the Green-e Climate Protocol for Renewable Energy were both developed through extensive consultations with environmental groups, greenhouse gas expert organizations and stakeholders. The stakeholder consultations were open to all interested parties and two rounds of consultations were completed for both the Standard and the Protocol. The draft Green-e Climate Standard, stakeholder comments and the response to comments can be found below. The draft Green-e Climate Protocol for Renewable Energy, stakeholder comments and the response to comments can be found below.
In addition, a specific stakeholder consultation focused on the endorsement of GHG Certification Programs. The materials for this stakeholder consultation along with comments received and responses to the comments can be found below.
