Green-e Completes Standards
in Restructured States with Illinois and Michigan
|
| |
On
November 17, 2004, the Green-e Green Power Board and Green Pricing
Accreditation Board approved Green-e criteria for Illinois and Michigan.
With the approval of these criteria, Green-e now has standards in
place in all restructured states. The new standard includes 50% minimum
new renewables - the highest requirement in Green-e competitive standards.
Many thanks to the Midwest Advisory Group for their participation
in several meetings and two written comment periods over the past
12 months. The standard is available at: www.green-e.org/ipp/standard_for_marketers.html.
Other Midwest states that already have a Green-e standard include:
Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Ohio. Contact: Kassie Rohrbach

Green-e Green Pricing Certification
Available Nationwide
|
| |
Green-e
electricity certification is now available to all renewable energy
products in the 50 U.S. states and the U.S. Territories. On December
15th, the Green Pricing Accreditation Board approved a National Green
Pricing Default Standard, which applies to all states that are not
currently covered under a regional standard. Green-e has established
specific regional certification standards for 32 states in the US.
The National Green Pricing Default Standard will provide Green-e certification
rules and procedures for utilities located in the 18 states that are
not governed by existing state or regional Green-e criteria, including
utilities located in: Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming,
New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma,
Indiana, West Virginia, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida, Puerto
Rico and other U.S. Territories. In addition, this document will apply
to the non-TVA portions of Kentucky, Mississippi, and Alabama. Contact:
